SPLOST Makes Our Parks Better

Whether it’s Laurel Park, Cherokee Bluffs, or the Highlands to Islands trail, there’s not much of our community that has not been improved by the presence of SPLOST funds.

The last four SPLOST initiatives delivered $33.57 million in improvements and new construction to parks, green spaces, and ball fields – and by voting to extend SPLOST, you can help deliver millions more worth of improvement to our community. Those funds will help construct a new South Hall Park and Active Life Center, improve the parks and ball fields at Gillsville and Lula, enhance Sardis Creek Park, and extend the Highlands to Islands Trail. A vote for SPLOST will NOT increase current taxes – it simply continues Hall County’s current sales tax rate.

Have you ever enjoyed a quiet hike at the Elachee Nature Science Center? Have your kids cracked a home run at North Hall Park? Have you enjoyed a bike ride or job on the Highlands to Islands Trail? Thank SPLOST.

A vote to extend SPLOST will ensure that our county remains a place we love to live – and play.

SPLOST builds and preserves the places where memories are made — playgrounds, trails, athletic fields, community centers, boat ramps, Lake Lanier parks, campgrounds and outdoor spaces we all enjoy.
